Mr. Goliadkin

when i first started reading the Double, i had no clue as to what is really going on in the story. its confusing and to me, it seems to skip around a lot. due to this, I'm kind of confused as to who each of the characters are in the story. from what i can understand, Mr Goliadkin has received money whether it was just with drawing it form the bank or somehow winning the lotto, all he wants to do is act like he is some super rich and powerful guy when in reality he is probably just some middle class loser who is not liked by very many people if any.  Mr. G wants to drive around town (in a limo/fancy car) trying to show that he has all of this money. as well, he goes to all of these expensive stores that he would never normally visit and he tells them all that he is going to buy stuff from each of there shops, and so he picks out all of these items and promises to send money but in reality he really is not going to end up getting any of the things that he picked out. i think that Mr. G is just a con man and a loser.
