what was it about?

after reading the story the Double, the only thing that i could really understand is that the main character Mr. G is a crazy who who seems to have a split personality. through out the story, Mr. G never finishes his thoughts as well as i believe that he is taken over by his other personality. his other personality is one that surpasses who he normally is in every aspect. this new personality ie his double, is so much netter than him. as well as this, i also think that the author tries to blur the thin line of where Mr G is still sane into the part where his double starts to take over, thus confusing the reader (especially if your still lost from the beginning of the book). overall i think that this book just shows how close the lines of normal and insanity start to blur together.
